The New Season of "Arrested Development" Will Hit Netflix in May

1/10/2013

Netflix has announced that the new, fourth season of "Arrested Development" will premiere in May.  As we'd heard, all 14 episodes will hit the site simultaneously, but there isn't a specific release date yet.

The structure will be a little different than the previous seasons.  Each episode will focus on a single character, and only ONE character will appear in all of them.  (Not surprisingly, it's Michael Bluth, who's played by JASON BATEMAN.)  And the entire cast will only appear together in the season finale.

By the way, creator MITCHELL HURWITZ says plans to do an "Arrested Development" movie are still ON, but he doesn't know if it'll actually end up happening.   He says, "[The] story is the family has fallen apart [since the last season].  They all went their own way, without Michael holding them together, so they're left to their own devices, and they're not the most successful devices.  [It's the] first act to what we eventually want to do, which is a big movie."
