Christian Bale Talks on the Phone With an 8-Year-Old Leukemia Patient
1/24/2013
CHRISTIAN BALE may have his anger issues, but we're calling it now: He's an AWESOME guy. In the past year, he's visited victims of the "Dark Knight Rises" shooting in Aurora Colorado and flown a 4-year-old cancer patient and his family to Disneyland to spend the day with him and his own family. And now there's this: Bale recently called an 8-year-old leukemia patient named Zach, who's a huge Batman fan, and talked to him for about nine minutes.
With a little prodding from his parents, Zach tells Bale about his custom-made Batmobile, and how he's actually convinced his little brother that he really IS Batman. Bale tells Zach, "The whole point of the movie is anybody can be Batman. Anybody can be as strong as that and help people and put good out into the world."
Here's video. Bale's voice is hard to hear.
