BRADLEY COOPER will produce and star in a movie about former Navy SEAL and expert sniper CHRIS KYLE, who was shot and killed last week by a mentally unstable Iraq War veteran.  Before Kyle was killed, Cooper had already bought the rights to his book, "American Sniper:  The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in US Military History".  But he's reworking it to include Kyle's death.

Cooper says,  "His story, first of all, needs to be told.  And it's also relevant on two fronts.  One, gun control, and two, the need to address the many soldiers that are coming back with post-traumatic stress disorder."

Kyle and a friend, Chad Littlefield, were both killed by fellow vet Eddie Ray Routh, after they brought him to a Texas shooting range to help him deal with his PTSD.
