Thanks again to the wonderful kids and leaders of the African Children's Choir for sharing their beautiful voices with us!
These kids from Uganda were so kind, polite, and incredibly smart! They told me all about the books they were busy reading on their trip here to the U.S. - some Dr. Seuss, lots of "Curious George" books, and one girl just finished reading "The Giving Tree"!
So excited to have them here, and you can enjoy their wonderful harmony TONIGHT at J.A. Nugget at 7pm! Great way to kick off Artown 2014!
Click the "Play" Button just below the pictures to listen to their performance, then click HERE to get more info and tickets!
Learned so much today from Dr. Barbara Swartz about childhood and adult epilepsy!
To understand what it is, and what can be done about it, take a listen to our interview from this morning's show!
You can also visit Renown's website to get more information on the Renown institue for Neuroscience and see how they can help! They also have links to extra resources...
Stay Healthy my friends!

This month is all about Heart Health, and it's important to note that Heart Disease is the #1 killer of women...
So let's work together to prevent heart problems, and also to help those with heart problems! We women give so much to our loved ones, but have to remember to take care of ourselves as well if we are to continue!
Listen to our Helpful Health interview with Karen Meskimin about what Heart Disease is, what you can do to prevent it, and also how to recognize signs of a Heart Attack! Just click the "PLAY" button below the picture on the right...
And for a fun way to learn about recognizing the signs, enjoy the short video below released last year by Go Red for Women. It's star, Elizabeth Banks, describes it as "A little film about a super mom who takes care of everyone except herself!"
It's Heart Month! And we were lucky to chat with Cardiologist Theodore B. Berndt about heart disease and what you can do to prevent it. To hear our interview, click the PLAY button just below the picture on the right...
