1) First off - Saturday is Free Fishing Day, the one day of the year where anglers may fish in any public fishing water in the state without needing a fishing license or trout stamp. All limits and other regulations apply.
2) Pets of the Homeless and Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada are teaming up to offer a free wellness clinic for the hundreds of cats and dogs that live with their homeless owners on the streets in Northern Nevada.
They are offering free well-checks, vaccinations, rabies updates/certificates, and free giveaways such as leashes, collars, toys, pet food and blankets.
The clinic will be held in the St. Vincent's Food Pantry parking lot at 500 East Fourth Street on tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
3) You can help in the fight against violence by attending a charity basketball game tomorrow at Damonte Ranch High School.

So incredibly happy to see that Maddie's Pet Adoption Days were a success here in Northern Nevada! Look at how many Furry Friends found loving homes:
Total Adoptions for:
NV Humane Society: 319 (123 dogs, 191 cats, 5 bunnies)
SPCA: 121 (60 dogs, 61 cats)
Pet Network Humane Society: 38 (27 dogs, 11 cats)
478 total adoptions for the community!
