The 14th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will make it's debut at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino.    

Jeff and Laurie from the More Music Morning Show will be out there, so you can come down and meet them.

To date, the Northern Nevada Affiliate has invested approximately $3,400,000 in local breast health and breast cancer awareness projects in 10 counties in Northern Nevada. Seventy-five percent of net proceeds generated by the Komen Northern Nevada Affiliate are granted to lifesaving local breast cancer programs. The remainign 25 percent goes to Komen-funded groundbeaking research to find the cure. 

This year's Race for the Cure will be held on Sunday, October 7. Registration and events begin at 7:00 a.m., 5K timed run will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the 1-mile fitness walk will begin at 9:15 a.m.

Participants who cannot make the race, can still participate and recieve a race day t-shirt by participating in "Sleep in for the Cure." For more information on the race, to register your team, or to donate to the cause, click here.
