Five Things Your Boyfriend Wants You to Surprise Him with, Other Than Sex

On the website Reddit, there's a section called AskReddit where random questions get answered by random people. And the other day, a girl wanted some advice concerning her overworked boyfriend. She asked guys, "What's something you would like your girlfriend to surprise you with randomly?", other than sex. She seriously added that.

And apparently when you take that out of the mix, guys get kind of stumped. Here are the top five responses she got, and a lot of them aren't very good.

1. Give Him an Unexpected Compliment. A few suggestions included, "I love it when you can open jars [for me]", "I think you look sexy when you clean the gutters" and, "Have you seen your [backside] when you take out the trash?"

2. Shower with Him. And specifically, WASH him. One Reddit user claimed it will, "wash the stress away, relax his mind, [and] fill him with amazing thoughts [and] deep appreciation." Adding that there's no need for it to be sexual.

3. Give Him Food. Suggestions got pretty specific, including a bag of potato chips, tacos, muffins, chocolate cake, or a Nestle Crunch bar. So in other words, pretty much any surprise that involves food.

4. Give Him an Unexpected Massage. Some guys said shoulder and back massages are best. Others suggested a head massage, foot massage, or calf massage.

5. Hug Him from Behind. Actually, a BUNCH of guys agreed with that one, and one even stipulated that he likes, "random hugs from behind when sitting or standing. Then a kiss on the neck."

McDonald's Has Released One of Its Highest-Calorie Items Ever, a Huge Bucket of Fries

Ever since "Super Size Me", McDonald's has gotten so much grief for making all of us enormous, and they've stopped adding super-high-calorie items to the menu in America. So apparently they're pushing all the good stuff overseas. In Japan, McDonald's just unveiled one of its highest-calorie items EVER, it's basically a BUCKET OF FRIES.

They're calling it the "Mega Potato." It's an order of fries that's about TWICE the size of the standard large fries. You get more than three-quarters of a POUND of French fries. And it checks in at 1,142 calories.

Now, if you've ever ordered a 40-piece McNuggets and eaten them all yourself, then yes, you've eaten a menu item that's higher in calories. There are 1,880 calories in 40 McNuggets. There's also a Big Breakfast combo that comes in at 1,150 calories.

The fries are selling for approximately $5. There's no sign they'll ever come to the U.S., especially since McDonald's eliminated its Super Size fries here to look less like a company of plumpers.

More Than Two Out of Three Women Say They'd Date a Geek. Here Are the Five Reasons Why

According to a new survey, more than two out of three women say they'd be willing to date a GEEK. Which doesn't make much sense these days, since EVERYONE seems obsessed with technology, superheroes, and video games. But whatever. As for WHY women want to date geeks, there are five main reasons . . .

1. They're LOYAL. Two thirds of people think geeks are extremely loyal.

2. They're SMART. 58% think geeks are highly intelligent, a 13% increase since they last did the survey two years ago.

3. They're employed. Chances are, if someone is a geek, they probably have a pretty good job. Three out of four people think geeks work hard. 70% of people who SAY they're geeks have jobs, which is 16% more than people who say they aren't.

4. They have a sense of humor. 53% of people think geeks are funny, although 74% of GEEKS thought they were funny.

5. They're confident. 58% of people also think geeks are confident. On the downside, 69% of people also think geeks are socially awkward, and only 30% think they're attractive.

The survey was done for something called "Geek Pride Day", which is May 25th. It was originally started to celebrate the release of the original "Star Wars", and to recognize the guy who wrote "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".

A Facebook Campaign Helped a Homeless Man Get His Dog Back Three Weeks After It Was Stolen

Over the last five years, James Bryan of Hudson, Florida has lost his job, his wife, his home, his farm, his car and most of his belongings. (Hudson is 45 miles northwest of Tampa. James' age wasn't given, but he looks about 50.) He's been living on he streets in Hudson, and about the only thing James HADN'T lost was his best friend, a pit bull named Handover, who was a gift from his wife. But on May 8th, James woke up and found Handover was GONE. And he was worried that he'd been taken by a dog-fighting ring.

A woman named Carolyn Texter knew James and Handover from her work at an animal rescue, and when she found out Handover was missing, she started a Facebook campaign to raise reward money. In three weeks, the reward grew to $1,000. They aren't saying WHO had Handover, or HOW they got him back, but on Wednesday, Carolyn was able to reunite James and Handover.

It's Memorial Day weekend, and if you're planning a getaway with someone you recently started dating, here are five things you should know before you go . . .

1. Realize It's a Big Deal. Guys, even if you think you're just going on a quick and fun getaway, it's a big deal for HER. Expectations will be high, so be prepared.

2. Be Ready to Share Your Space. If you've only been dating for a short time, that "slowly-getting-to-know-you" phase gets thrown right out the window once you spend a weekend together. Be ready to be around this person 24/7.

3. Know Your Travel Styles. Some people like the "go with the flow" approach to traveling. Other people want every minute scheduled so they don't miss a thing. Just try to get on the same page before you go, so there are no surprises.

4. Be Flexible. No matter how well-organized you are, there are always things you can't predict like traffic, weather, or feeling like crap. The more flexible and low-maintenance you are, the better your chances of the trip being a success.

5. Go With a Group. It's too late to change your plans now, but in the future, it's best to do your first weekend trip together with a group of friends. That way, there's a balance of personalities, and if one of you wants to be alone for a while, the other person will have people to hang with.

Two Grandparents Survived the Oklahoma Tornado Because They Made a Wrong Turn

Usually it's kinda depressing when you hear about an elderly person making a wrong turn and driving hundreds of miles in the wrong direction. Not this time. This time it actually SAVED two grandparents' LIVES.

Thomas and Claudia Foutch of Moore, Oklahoma are grandparents who are both in their 80s. On Monday, they were headed home from a funeral, just before that devastating tornado completely ravaged the town.

BUT, as they were driving home, they took a WRONG TURN. They got confused, and ended up 200 MILES south, in Texas. And that probably ended up SAVING THEIR LIVES.

They eventually figured out they were lost, but couldn't get back to Moore because of the road blocks. They didn't have cell phones. They didn't know their family members' phone numbers. They didn't have enough money for a hotel.

So they ended up spending almost 48 hours in their truck until they found their way back home. Their family didn't know what had happened to them, and even went on "Piers Morgan Live" to ask for help finding them.

Their granddaughter says now that she's been reunited with her grandparents, her first move was to get them cell phones.

According to a new survey, one in five women say that their husband or boyfriend is the high-maintenance one in their relationship. Here are the five reasons why:

1. Men are more likely to throw a tantrum if they don't get what they want.

2. Guys spend more time in the bathroom getting ready to go out than women do.

3. Men are more likely to refuse to leave the house without their hair looking perfect, and without the right clothes.

4. Men constantly need to be told, "I love you."

5. Guys get upset when women don't answer when they call.

McDonald's is Finally Giving the Cleveland Kidnapping Hero Free Food

Remember CHARLES RAMSEY, the guy in Cleveland who rescued those three female kidnapping victims, then he gave all the crazy interviews? In the first interview, he talked about how he stopped eating his McDonald's food when he heard the women screaming. And the next day, McDonald's tweeted that they'd, "be in touch" with Charles. But as of Wednesday, they STILL hadn't.

It's possible they were scared off by his past. A few days after he was universally recognized as a hero, the news broke that he'd been arrested three times and done prison time for beating up his ex-wife. But he and his ex-wife say that's in the past, and he's paid his debt and made amends. So, at least a DOZEN restaurants in the Cleveland area offered him FREE BURGERS for the rest of his life.

After the stories came out yesterday about the restaurants giving Charles free burgers, THEN McDonald's took some action. They just announced they'll be giving Charles free fast food for one year.

65% of Women Use Sex as a Reward. So Do 11% of Men

If you're going to try to BRIBE your husband or boyfriend to do stuff, sex seems like a pretty good motivator. Depending on how long you've been together, food might work better, but yeah, sex is good too. According to a new survey, 65% of women say YES, they've used sex as a reward. Here are the most common scenarios . . .

38% have used sex as a reward for helping around the house . . .

34% have used it for getting them a gift . . .

28% for looking after the kids or other family members . . .

21% for cooking dinner . . .

And 19% for picking them up from somewhere.

The survey also found that, believe it or not, 11% of MEN have used sex as a reward for their wife or girlfriend. Who ARE these sexual magicians? Of that group, 35% have used sex as a reward for letting them watch sports, and 17% have used it as a reward for letting them have a night out with friends.

Would You Throw Your Pet a Birthday Party?

A new survey asked pet owners how many EVENTS they have in their pet's honor. Here's what they found . . .

22% of people have held a BIRTHDAY PARTY for their pet. That's almost one in four. 17% spend at least $50 on the party. Dog owners are more likely than cat owners to throw a birthday party.

And 16% of people have held a FUNERAL for a pet.

The survey also found 6% of people spend at least $200 a month on their pets, and 37% spend over $50.
