Only One Out of Eight Football Fans Wants To Watch Their Team In Person

10/25/2012

High-definition TV has RUINED a generation of sports fans.  Yeah, it's easier, cheaper, WARMER, and more comfortable to watch a game at home.  But NOTHING compares to being there live.  At least nothing SHOULD.  According to a poll by Discover card, only 12% of college football fans say their favorite way to watch a game is at the stadium.  That's just one in eight.

83% say their favorite way to watch is at home.  4% say they like watching at a bar.  0% said their favorite place to watch is at the OPPONENT'S stadium.

But at least when they DO go to games, they stay.  71% say they stay and cheer until the end of the game, even in a blowout.  21% leave early to try to beat the crowd.  8% say they sometimes do both.

And finally, the survey found only 15% of fans are willing to admit they're FAIR-WEATHER FANS who only watch their team during a good season.
