More Than One in Three Babies Born Now Will Live to Be 100
According to a new study, kids born today have a good chance of living to be 100 years old. Experts say more than a third of babies being born now will make it to age 100. That's about FOUR times better than the current generation of elderly people.
Only 10% of people 80 and over are expected to make it to 100. About 25% of current teenagers will live that long.
39% of girls born this year will make it to 100, and so will 32% of boys. But it's not all good news, because they'll end up spending MORE of that time working.
The average kid will be paying off student loans until they're 52 years old, they'll have to work until age 61 to pay off their mortgage, and they won't be able to retire until they're 70 years old.
