Your Marriage is Three-and-a-Half Times More Likely To End in an Argument Over Vacuuming Than an Affair
You hear about affairs in the news constantly. TIGER WOODS, KRISTEN STEWART, the head of the CIA . . . everybody's cheating. But here's a REALLY IMPORTANT reality check. An affair is probably NOT going to bring down YOUR marriage. According to an analysis of 350 divorce cases by a law firm called Gateley, you're three-and-a-half times more likely to have your marriage end in an argument over vacuuming than over an affair.
They found 70% of marriages end over simple domestic issues, like housework, finances, or where to live. Only 20% of marriages end because of adultery.
In other words, before you get married you shouldn't worry about cheating, you should worry about whether your boyfriend or girlfriend is going to take out the trash, run up credit card bills, or decide on a whim they want to move to Spain.
