Women are Now Twice as Likely to Want a Daughter Than a Son?

12/11/2012

We'd say this qualifies as a MAJOR shift.  Because we always thought the rule was:  Men secretly want a son more than a daughter, and WOMEN secretly want a son more than a daughter TOO.  But a new survey found that 45% of women say they're secretly hoping for a daughter.  Only half as many are secretly hoping for a son, at 22%.  The rest took the coward's way out and said they want a son or daughter equally.

The main reason women gave for wanting a daughter is that they'd bond with her more and understand her better.

One-third of the women who wanted a daughter also admitted they were looking forward to DRESSING HER more than a boy.  Which is a FANTASTIC reason to bring a child into the world.

22% of women say they had a child that wasn't the gender they were hoping for, so they kept trying and having kids until they got the gender they wanted.
