Americans Are Eighth in the World When It Comes to Getting Their Dream Job

1/9/2013

According to a survey by LinkedIn, only 29% of Americans are working in the job they dreamed about when they were a kid.   (They released a similar-sounding survey last year, where they found that only 9% of Americans had their dream job.  So things suddenly got much better, or LinkedIn changed how they did their survey.)

That puts the U.S. in eighth place worldwide.  Here are the seven countries where MORE kids have managed to grow up to get their dream jobs.

#1.)  India:  44%

#2.)  Indonesia:  42%

#3.)  United Arab Emirates:  36%

#4.)  Germany:  33%

#5.)  Brazil:  32%.

#6.)  Austria:  31%.

#7.)  Switzerland:  30%.

Some countries that finished tied or behind the U.S. were Canada and France, also at 29%, Australia at 26%, and the U.K. at 21%.
