You Spend 43 Days of Your Life On Hold, Which is About 13 Hours a Year
1/24/2013

According to a new survey by a texting service called TalkTo.com, six out of seven people get put on hold EVERY time they call a business. Three out of five people say they're frustrated about being put on hold so often. And half complained that it takes forever to get an answer.
Half of people also think that calling a business just isn't productive, because when they finally do get to talk to a human being, the person isn't helpful. More than half of people say that they spend between 10 and 20 minutes a week waiting on hold. That adds up to about 13 hours a year spent on hold. So over their lifetime, people spend about 43 days on hold.
