Panasonic Has a Plan to Fix Global Warming, By Turning Greenhouse Gases Into Alcohol?
1/28/2013

It looks like the earth may not be doomed by global warming after all. Panasonic has a plan to FIX it. They've developed something called an Artificial Photosynthesis System, which can remove carbon dioxide from the air, just like plants do. They claim it doesn't use a lot of energy. In fact, their machine is just about as efficient at doing photosynthesis as an actual PLANT.
That's all great news, but the best part is that Panasonic's invention not only removes the CO2, but turns it into ALCOHOL. At least that's the hope. It can probably produce ethanol as a byproduct, which is the same type of alcohol used in beer, wine, and liquor.
Panasonic plans to put the machines near factories and power plants, to remove the carbon dioxide that is produced there and clean up the atmosphere.
