If you think parallel parking in a big vehicle is challenging, have you tried it while hauling a GUILLOTINE?
A 35-year-old man from Southern California named Philan-Tam-Duy Le was arrested in Washington, D.C. for being illegally parked. with a GIGANTIC guillotine in the bed of his pickup. He was outside the Capitol building.
The man had a concealed carry permit, but this was a very UNCONCEALED weapon. The wooden guillotine was 10 feet tall with a “sharpened on an angle” metal blade. (He did not have a gun on him when he was arrested.)
It’s unclear if it was a working guillotine, or a prop, or what the point of it was. But the authorities took it seriously. They seized it. and charged the man with carrying a dangerous weapon.
It sounds like the guy drove from California to D.C., so I guess he made it 3,000 miles without being stopped with the guillotine. The authorities are still investigating.
(Here are a couple photos. For the record, the suspect’s brother says he was “unhappy with the state of politics,” and disliked President Trump and California Governor Gavin Newsom, but wouldn’t hurt anyone.)
