New in Theaters: “Abigail” and “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare”

1.  “Abigail”  (R)

A horror thriller where Giancarlo Esposito gathers a group of criminals to kidnap the daughter of a powerful underworld figure, only to find out that they unwittingly captured Dracula’s daughter, and now they’re trapped in a creepy mansion with her.

14-year-old Alisha Weir is the vampire.  Her kidnappers are Melissa Barrera (“Scream”), Dan Stevens  (“Legion”), Kathryn Newton (“Quantumania”), William Catlett (“Black Lightning”), Kevin Durand (“Lost”) and the late Angus Cloud (“Euphoria”).

WARNING:  The trailer is LOADED with F-bombs.

 

 

2.  “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare”  (R)  Trailer

An action comedy starring Henry Cavill as the guy recruited by Cary Elwes to lead Britain’s first special forces mission to try to stop Hitler during World War II.

His team is Alan Ritchson (“Reacher”), Eiza Gonzalez (“From Dusk til Dawn”), Henry Golding (“Crazy Rich Asians”), Alex Pettyfer (“Magic Mike”), Hero Fiennes-Tiffin (Young Voldemort in “The Half-Blood Prince”), and Babs Olusanmokun (“Dune”).

 

 

3.  “Hard Miles”  (PG-13)  Trailer

Matthew Modine as the coach for a bicycling team at a medium-security correctional school in Colorado.  The rest of the cast includes Leslie David Baker as Matthew’s boss and Sean Astin as the guy who builds their bikes.
