What Is a “Poor People” Habit You’ll Never Stop Doing, No Matter How Rich You Get?

Think back to the last time you were at a rich person’s house.  Were they “classic,” boring rich?  Or did you witness something strange, that showed they didn’t always have money?  Like, maybe they had an envelope on the fridge with clipped coupons inside.

People on social media are talking about the “poor people” habits they claim they’ll never stop doing, no matter how rich they get.  Here are a few:

1.  Using every single last drop of all products:  Squeezing the life out of toothpaste tubes, and if it’s lotion, cutting open the container to get the last bit.

2.  Always checking the “Clearance” section at clothing stores.

3.  Keeping leftover screws, nuts, and bolts from furniture kits and old, broken appliances.  They all go to the garage, so I can use them in 15 years.

4.  Never wasting food, if I can help it.

5.  Using grocery bags as trash bags.

6.  Checking restaurant prices before looking at the menu.

7.  Collecting all the complimentary soaps and products at hotels.

8.  Thrifting, hitting up community yard sales, and bargain-hunting.

9.  Not buying new clothes unless it’s something necessary.

10.  Fixing (and learning to fix) everything myself.

11.  Turning off lights when leaving a room.

12.  Walking everywhere, or taking public transit.

13.  Hand-washing Ziploc bags so they can be cleaned and re-used.

14.  Re-using tissue paper when wrapping gifts.

15.  Cleaning my own place.  I don’t like people touching my stuff.

16.  Licking yogurt tops to maximize value.

17.  Drinking water.  (???)

18.  Paying my fair share of taxes.  (It’s worth pointing out, most of these people are NOT rich, yet.  So something like this is easy to say now . . .)
