“Harmless Conspiracy Theories” That People Think Might Be True

Let’s be honest:  Most conspiracy theories are NOT all that believable.  No matter how far Uncle Rick goes down the rabbit hole.  But there are some smaller, “harmless conspiracy theories” that COULD hold some truth.

Buzzfeed has a list of them, so let’s all put on our tinfoil hats.

1.  Starbucks baristas are told to misspell customers’ names, so people post photos on social media of their Starbucks cup, providing free advertising.

2.  That your phone’s microphone is constantly ‘hot’ and that it’s listening for keywords to target advertising.

3.  That Area 51 is a publicity stunt by the government to hide the REAL testing facility.

4.  Cops go on Waze and leave notes about random police sightings to cause people to slow down, without actually having to stay and check on people.

5.  That “big bread” paid toaster manufacturers to put in a setting that’s too high, so people would burn their toast, and they’d sell more bread.

6.  The reason Disney came out with a movie called “Frozen” was so that when you googled “Disney frozen,” you would get information about the movie, and not websites talking about Walt Disney’s body being frozen.

7.  Lotteries are actually traps for time travelers.

8.  PETA is controlled opposition run by the meat industry, designed to make animal rights activists look bad.

9.  Trader Joe’s makes their parking lots small on purpose to make them seem more popular than they really are.

10.  Bigfoot is blurry in real life.  It was never the camera at fault.
