For Valentine’s Day this year, Dave & Buster’s is transforming its viral Human Crane into a one-of-a-kind “proposal experience” by placing five $15,000, 3-carat diamond engagement rings inside the game at select locations for couples that are ready to take their relationship to the next level.
If you haven’t seen it, the Human Crane lowers guests into a pit of oversized prizes where they can grab a prize. Rides on the Human Crane start at $20.
If that sounds magical to you, (???), it’s not quite as wild as it sounds.
The diamond rings will only be planted at five locations, and they’re all in New York and California. And the actual ring won’t be inside the crane game, it’ll be a placeholder that you redeem for the ring later on. So, even if you did score the ring, you wouldn’t actually get it on Valentine’s Day.
