If you tentatively have plans for a hot date tomorrow, but a few things seem OFF today: You break a mirror, you spill some salt, you walk under a ladder, and you get spooked by a black cat, maybe pause and reflect.
Today is the first Friday the 13th of the year, and in 2026, there are THREE, which is the most there can ever be in one year. The next two are next month, and in November.
The last time there was a Friday the 13th right before Valentine’s Day was 11 years ago in 2015. (It isn’t THAT rare. Obviously, it has to happen any time that Valentine’s Day is on a Saturday.)
The real question is: Today is also Galentine’s Day, the holiday that’s “dedicated to honoring female friendship and platonic love,” which was inspired by an old episode of “Parks and Recreation“.
Would YOU avoid the number 13 while hanging out with your besties? Like passing on a 13th mimosa, or listening to Taylor Swift, a well-known super-fan of the cursed number 13.
Or will you go ALL IN and plan a “Friday the 13th” movie night?
