People like to joke about Millennials, but like them or not, they’ve FINALLY arrived. At age, like, 35? 40?
Someone online asked, “What are the signs that you ‘made it’ as a millennial?” And here are some of the best responses:
1. “Finally upgrading from a full-size bed to a new king bed.”
2. “Being able to put your bills on auto-pay, that’s a good threshold.”
3. “Not having to panic when you have a $500 or $1,000 emergency. It’s a bummer, rather than a major anxiety.”
4. “Having a ‘drink fridge’ in the garage.”
5. “Paying off your student loans or buying a house.”
6. “Paying a service to trim a large tree, instead of doing it yourself. ‘Making it’ to me is being able to pick my battles.”
7. “BUYING a new couch, rather than getting a random hand-me-down.”
8. “Having plastic hangers that are all the same color.”
9. “Seeing your credit score surpassing the 800 mark.”
10. “Buying nice, matching glass cups instead of random plastic cups.”
11. “Keeping a house plant alive for months.”
12. “Having the money for a nice tattoo every now and then.”
13. “Switching out your two-week contacts after only two weeks.”
14. “Hiring movers instead of asking friends.”
15. “Not living with a roommate.”
And someone else said, “A buddy and I got $40 worth of quarters, and beat the old Ninja Turtles arcade game.” (I’m not sure this is the example of MAKING IT that they thought it was.)
