The site UnclaimedBaggage.com shared its annual list of the weirdest things people lost from their luggage last year. Here are their picks for the 10 WEIRDEST items that ended up in lost-and-found.
1. A fully assembled robot. It doesn’t look human, more like legs with a box on top. They think it was maybe for research, or some sort of industrial automation. (Here’s a photo.)
2. A bionic knee. Meaning a prosthetic knee with a built-in motor. They’re pretty sure it was a prototype.
3. A set of grillz made with diamonds and 10-karat gold. The kind you’ve seen Kanye West or Post Malone wear. They fit over your teeth.
4. A meteorite. They joked that of everything they found, they can confidently say it “traveled the farthest.” They were able to figure out it was part of a meteor that fell to Earth in the year 1576.
5. A pair of fire poi. Those ropes with balls on the end that fire dancers use.
6. A one-ounce gold bar. It was 99.99% gold, worth several thousand dollars.
7. A matching pair of samurai swords. It sounds like they were replicas, but probably still worth some money.
8. A full beekeeping outfit. Suit, gloves, mask, and all.
9. Gold-plated golf clubs. The Japanese brand Honma makes a few types of gold-plated clubs. A full set can cost anywhere from a few thousand bucks to $60,000.
10. A didgeridoo. As in the Australian wind instrument. Not a very easy thing to lose track of. They’re pretty big.
Other weird stuff that ended up in lost-and-found last year included a giant stuffed goose, an armadillo purse, a 12-pack case of sardines, a bow tie made of feathers, and a suitcase full of rat poison.
The most VALUABLE find was a pair of diamond earrings with a retail value of $43,400. Also, a Rolex worth 35 grand.
