There’s a lot going on in the world right now, so hopefully this brings you a bit of optimism. Here are some things to look forward to in April . . .
1. It’s always a good month for sports: March Madness continues with the Final Four this weekend. Then the Women’s National Championship Game is Sunday, and the Men’s Final is Monday.
Also, the MLB season is in full swing, The Masters starts April 9th, the NBA and NHL playoffs both start the 18th, and the NFL Draft is April 23rd.
2. In theaters: “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” is out today, and the Michael Jackson biopic “Michael” hits theaters April 24th.
A couple others you might want on your radar: “The Drama” with Zendaya and Robert Pattinson comes out on Friday. The “Faces of Death” remake is out April 10th. And the thriller “Mother Mary” hits theaters on April 24th.
3. If you love new TV, April is STACKED. First, let’s hit the spinoffs and reboots: “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord” is coming to Disney+ on April 6th. The “Handmaid’s Tale” continuation series “The Testaments” comes to Hulu on the 8th.
The “Malcolm in the Middle” revival “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair” hits Hulu April 10th. And the “Stranger Things” spinoff “Stranger Things: Tales From ’85” premieres on Netflix on April 23rd.
The fifth and final season of “The Boys” hits Prime Video on the 8th, and the fifth and final season of “Hacks” will be on HBO Max April 9th. The third season of “Euphoria” hits HBO Max the 12th. Season 2 of “Beef” hits Netflix April 16th.
And the new comedy competition series “Funny AF with Kevin Hart” premieres on Netflix on April 20th.
4. And finally, the holidays: Today is April Fools’ Day, Passover also starts tonight, Good Friday is in two days, and Easter is on Sunday.
Other holidays include National Burrito Day tomorrow, it’s Don’t Go to Work Unless it’s Fun Day on Friday, National Beer Day on the 7th, National Pet Day on the 11th, Earth Day on the 22nd, and if trees are your thing, April 24th is Arbor Day.
