Ask someone if they wanna go grab a drink, and there’s a good chance they’ll say, “You mean like a Baja Blast?”
The number of Americans who drink alcohol just hit a new all-time low.
A new Gallup poll released yesterday found just 54% of us sometimes have a drink or two. That’s the lowest since Gallup started tracking it way back in 1939.
Back then, 58% said they drank, at least occasionally. Until now, the lowest was 55% in 1958.
America’s drinking rate has been plummeting since the pandemic. In 2022, 67% said they were drinkers.
One reason for the decline is more people see it as a health risk now, and young people are a big part of that trend.
53% of Americans now think even moderate drinking is bad for your health, up from 28% a decade ago.
