You know how some people think it sounds TERSE to use periods after one-word texts? Like, responding, “No.”
Well, this is another level.
Someone put up a poll online, asking “Is it rude to say ‘yeah’ instead of ‘yes’?” They added, “For context, my partner always corrects me when I say ‘yeah’ and says it’s ‘so rude.’ I think it’s just casual? Thoughts?”
Well, about 5% of people said yeah, or yes, they think it IS rude. The remaining 95% said no.
In the comments, one person said, “Is your partner 60 years old? Chillax.” Another said, “I feel it’s rude if you’re over 15, but apparently that’s a minority opinion.” The person who asked the question said his partner is 28.
