Starting the Day Feeling Sharp Is Worth an Extra 40 Minutes of Work

Didn’t get enough sleep?  Your boss would like a word . . .

A new study at the University of Toronto found that starting your day feeling mentally sharp makes you way more efficient at work.

Whether you didn’t sleep well, or you’re still hung over from the Super Bowl, we all have those “brain fog” days where everything feels harder.

But there are also days when things click, and you blast through stuff.

The study found that when you start your day feeling sharp like that, you get the equivalent of 40 extra minutes of work done.  You don’t work longer or harder, just smarter.

In other words, it FEELS like you have an extra 40 minutes to get through all the stuff on your to-do list.  You might even be able to get ahead, just in case you DON’T feel so sharp tomorrow.
