There are three types of people: Those who SCHEDULE naughty bedtime fun, those who prefer it to be SPONTANEOUS, and those who would LOVE to have EITHER of these options.
There’s a new term making the rounds called the “Cinderella Rule.”
It’s establishing a “cut-off” time for relations to start on any given night, or weeknight, so that you don’t have to worry about being tired the next day.
For example, you could have a Cinderella Rule with your partner that the cut-off time is: 10:30 P.M. Because you’ll “turn into a pumpkin” by 11:00 P.M.(Yes, the whole Cinderella connection is a bit of a stretch.)
One stat claims that the optimal duration for messing around is “23 minutes and 45 seconds”, so 10:30 would mean you could finish and be ready for lights out and sleep by 11:00.
Of course, every couple is different. Some people have earlier wake-up times than others, need more sleep than others, or only need to boogie for like two minutes before they’re done. (I’m looking at you, Chad.)
Obviously, the Cinderella Rule works easily with scheduled sex, but it’s possible to do it and STILL be spontaneous.
If you previously agreed on a cut-off time, when if you’re in the mood, you can give some indications that it’s in the cards, as long as there’s ample time under the Cinderella Rule.
One person says this “worked wonders” for them, because it’s hard to get spicy in the moment, because they’re both so busy with family stuff, work stuff, and household chores, and this establishes a window to work within.
