30% of Us Stick to the Same Beer and Won’t Try Anything New

I feel like there are WAY too many new craft beers.  Like somewhere between two and 7,000 every day.  “Wanna try a delicious twelve dollar pint of Satan’s Hop Dump?”  And we totally fall for it.  But not everyone.  A LOT of you hear about new beers and say “Who cares?  Give me my damn Miller High Life.”

A new survey found 70% of beer drinkers like trying new types of beer.  But 30% of people are loyal to their brands and HATE trying anything new.

Here are a few more results from the survey:

1.  74% of people think beer tastes the best when it comes out of a tap.  But if they have to choose between a bottle or a can, 83% go with a bottle.

2.  Even though IPAs get a lot of attention, only 7% say those are their favorite beers.  Lagers came in first at 30%, and wheat beers were second at 11%.

3.  28% of people say pizza is the best thing to eat when you’re drinking beer.  10% went with burgers.
