Hollywood icon Olivia de Havilland passed in her home in Paris, France from natural causes, per her publicist Lisa Goldberg. She was 104.

Dave Franco’s horror movie The Rental – starring his wife, Alison Brie – took the No. 1 spot at the box office this weekend, bringing in $420,871 over the weekend from 251 theaters, averaging $1,677 per theater, according to Deadline on Sunday, July 26.  A majority of that is from drive-in theaters, which continue to be the leading exhibitors at the weekend box office.

Disney took Mulan off its release schedule and pushed back the release dates of new films in the Avatar and Star Wars franchises due to the coronavirus pandemic. The move comes as theater owners are being forced to stay closed due to the rise in cases.

Taylor Swift just dropped a surprise new album titled Folklore. Swift had shared the news to her fans in an Instagram post, writing, “folklore will have 16 songs on the standard edition, but the physical deluxe editions will include a bonus track called “the lakes.” Because this is my 8th studio album, I made 8 deluxe CD editions and 8 deluxe vinyl editions that are available for one week.
